PTFE - Polytetrafluorethen (Teflon)

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a linear polymer of the monomers fluorine and carbon and belongs to the group of thermoplastics. PTFE is also known as Teflon. The plastic is produced by radical polymerization of tetrafluoroethylene. Polytetrafluoroethylene is very inert and thus resistant to strong acids. The plastic is also known for its very low coefficient of friction. © 2017 SUBSTRATEC. All Rights Reserved.
