Surface activation with Openair-Plasma® is particularly effective for treating non-polar materials such as plastics.
Non-polar surfaces like these are difficult to bond and coat. Plasma activation of the surface generates polar groups at the surface which maximize adhesion between the adhesive and the adherend. As a result, plasma activation facilitates the creation of new material combinations.
